Is the South America zoo smaller or is it an illusion?

Made a SA sandbox zoo and for some reason the map looks a lot smaller than what's available on the flat sandbox options. Not sure if it just looks smaller because of the more dynamic map/non-flat environment but it feels like there's less surface area overall to work with.

Issue with New Zoo Generation for Tropical Maps

I recently decided to start a new franchise zoo with the tropical preset, and while I like the look of the entry way coming out of the mountain, the usable landscape feels much smaller compared to the other maps, as though the background was drawn closer in. To make maters worse terraforming is much more difficult, and the camera is exceptionally jumpy on the steep slopes on either side of the entry way. I am unsure if this was an intended change to the map, as no other maps got an overhaul like this, but the desert does look like the canyons were drawn closer in, but none of the usable land was altered. Anyone else dealing with this?

One thing to note is that the new Tropical Map is only available in South American parks. Tropical maps for the other continents are still the same original flat map. I don't know if that helps but basically if you want to use the old map you can.

Opened both zoo options up and the SA zoo does look a lot smaller...

The square is the zoo entrance and the red line is from one end of the usable map to the other. You can see the visible texture seams along the border that show where the usable map ends.

Kind of a shame it's so small because I wanted to use it but I like making giant zoos.
