I don't get it... do they not want our money? I also have a Mac and would love to play this game but don't know anything about using Bootcamp. :(

There's really not that much money in the MacOS market comparative to the costs of developing and supporting that platform thereafter. 3% of the market doesn't really translate to that many unit sales. If the game performs along the same lines as Planet Coaster you're talking maybe 50k sales over the next 2 years. That's maybe £1m in revenues after Steam fees and VAT/Sales Tax. Half of that will easily be eaten up on the porting costs.

Also Frontier were burned by Apple's introduction of Metal and abandoning of OpenGL right after they'd invested hundreds of thousands of pounds in a MacOS port of Elite Dangerous.

Frontier ended MacOS support on Elite Dangerous in December 2018. I wouldn't bank on them taking another risk on the whims of Apple's management in the next few years.

It's just not financially viable to spend so much money for so little potential return.

How do you know it's 3%? For all we know you made up that number. Is it even a useful number. For example steams hardware counting is known not to be very accurate.

You do realise that I just quoted another post, right? It's important to me that you do.

The game is Windows OS Only. The Devs do not plan on making a Mac version.

The quote you posted doesn't say anything about 3%. I mentions Bootcamp but no %.

It's two quotes actually. The big block of text is from Harbinger and he is quoting someone else. You can usually identify quotes by the frame around them and the "Originally posted by ... :".
I didn't write anything myself in that post.
