Oh god, people here are beyond stupid. Of course you don't have this problem if you just hire a bunch of engineers.
The point is, that you could've saved those money.
So what do you use money for? I have over 5 million. Never going to use that!
You: But the old method isn't that bad
Me: But the new one is still better
You: But the old method isn't that bad
It's irrelevant if barriers are very bad or just a little bit bad, it's not as good as scenery.
There are easier ways to piss off money without having the risk of some bug happening and an engineer getting stuck, and your lions escape. Plus you can still have as many engineers as you want, just minus the risk.
I get your point, but if I imagine being a guest in a zoo, I wouldn't really care how often they told me that lion won't be able to climb the rocks they put as natural barrier, I'd rather have a nice big wall around it's habitat. That's why I personally still like barriers. :)
I do this for shy animals all the time. I build a non-habitat barrier with one-way glass inside the enclosure and have the real barrier behind all the visitors. I even have the keepers coming from that direction sometimes, and have just a small access corridor past the non-habitat wall for them.
