Enrichment requirements
Hoping someone can give me some advice on how they manage enrichment in their habitats. Enrichment goes down over time, with each object only providing a portion of their previous "points". I am finding that with the monkeys (Chimpanzees, Bonobo, Gorilla etc) and some other animals that I cannot keep their enrichment high enough to max out 100%. Even by constantly deleting enrichment items and buying different ones, there are not enough to rotate. help!

I agree. The enrichment system doesn’t seem very reliable or accurate. For the time being I think you’re chasing a dream when it comes to perfect stats. I’ve stopped swapping them now. Usually just put one of each item in and make sure they’re occasionally reset.

How do you reset them though? And what does this do?

Not all of them need to be reset. Click on each one and the relevant ones have a reset button in the right hand panel.

Resetting will refresh the cardboard boxes and blood products etc.

Yeah at least I can keep my animals at 90% or higher but its annoying that it can't be 100% haha

The problem is not that their value goes down, it's that the supply and demand are using different stats.

Each (entertainment, not food) enrichment item contributes a certain amount of entertainment value. Some items offer a smaller boost for a second item, some don't. But that's it, just one or two units of entertainment value for a given type of item.

On the other hand, *each* animal adds to the needed entertainment value in the habitat. So, for instance, 1 chimpanzee needs, say, 100 entertainment points. (I'm not sure what the actual values are off the top of my head, I'm just using random numbers.) You have, say, 10 different enrichment items, offering 10-100 'points', with a total of, we'll say generously, 450. It's very easy to keep 1 chimpanzee entertained. However, once you hit 5 chimpanzees - 500 needed entertainment 'points' - now you can't hit 100% anymore. Every further animal addition means that much less you can satisfy the need, with no way to increase the offering total.

TL;DR:
You don't need to "swap out" the toys. You need to decrease your number of animals in a single habitat.

Thanks Tannaidhe, I'll give this a go and report back :)
