I have an unhappy snow leopard!
It's unhappy because social reasons. The Zoopedia says you can have them one at a time. I only got one because there was only one available on the market at the time. Now I could get another, but I'm curious about this...

Are different animals different? Can some be unhappy by themselves even if the Zoopedia says they should be ok? Or am I missing something else here. The one I have is pretty green elsewhere. Some orange on enrichment because not everything is researched yet.

Edit: I should add the part that keeps dipping to 4% is Stress.

The stress problem is caused by the animal not having enough privacy from humans. Having one snow leopard is fine, but as the zoopedia says they are "shy" in the "relationship with humans" section, they are easily disturbed by too many people looking at them. Try using one-way glass for the enclosure (make sure it's facing the right way) and putting up "do not disturb" signs, and make sure your guest path isn't inside the enclosure at any point (like a bridge going over it) because that counts as guests being in the enclosure and that really upsets shy animals.

Thanks for advice! I don't know if I have 2 way glass available, but I'll check. There's nothing going over it. I only have one viewing area but it's large. I'll try the signs too.

If you don't have one-way glass researched, the next best thing you can do is give the animal some places where it can go to be completely out of view of people. I find sometimes the animals will just run around stressed instead of going to a hiding place, which is frustrating, but as soon as they go into a hiding spot where no one can see them you'll see that stress bar start going back to normal. Sometimes I have to manually move them to such a spot. Their A.I. seems kind of bad that way but hopefully a patch can improve that.

You are so right! I don't have one side glass yet, but I put one of my panels to solid instead of glass (looks dumb for the moment - oh well) and moved her house behind. She's happy now.

Now hopefully I won't get people complaining, "Sure would be nice if we could see the leopard..."

I am on the sandbox mode, and I had to put in one way glass as one of my animals were stressed and I could not find out what to do. It does work.

The 'do not disturb' signs (under Security in the benches and bins category) help immensely as well until you get one way glass researched. (The barriers are one of my two 'first research' categories for this reason, the second being power supplies so I can get the solar panels which have no guest proximity penalty). The signs even help in enclosures where guests do go inside the habitat (for shy species that guests can enter the habitat, like okapi, aardvarks, and antelope).

In this case it’s unhappy because you only have one. It’s lonely. You need one Male and one female. Other animals will need a bunch of females.

No, it's not. That would be the 'Social Group' need, not 'Stress'. Stress means too many guests making too much noise with not enough privacy.

Snow leopards are perfectly happy alone in an appropriate habitat.
