How to Determine Enclosure Size?
I'm one of those ignorant of the metric system, so I have to look up the conversions into feet. But what can I use as a measure in the game? I thought maybe the basic grid square size would help, if I knew it. I want to ensure my zoo's exhibits are sufficiently large to accommodate the animals -- especially because I see so many zoo videos where the match-up between the animal's native habitat and the small enclosure provided is extreme! I love zoos & I know that money dictates the amount of land they own, but I strongly advocate fewer animals in favor of better environments. Sorry, I'll get off my soap box and back to my question -- if you can help me determine sizes for the enclosures, I'd truly appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.

You can change metric to foot in the game parameters.

Awesome spreadsheet details hab sizes and also how much extra to add for additional animals. Ie the detailed hab size is for one animal, this will tell you how much space to add for each extra animal.

Take a guess at the right size of enclosure. Put a habitat door on it then click on the fence line . The second tab will come up with exact dimensions. You then grab a side of fence line and expand or shrink till you have what you want

Never tried it but can’t you just layout a null barrier with a gate to see how big something is?

Thanks to all of you. Quick question: Is the spreadsheet enclosure size in feet or metres? I think feet, but best to double check.

It's metres :)
