issue with the cheetahs

For some reason, i cant get my cheetahs to settle. everything is what they need, but there stress lvl is always through the roof. i have one way glass for view and even read somewhere that the ambience speakers help. but that didn't work either.

Anyone got any ideas?

just spitballing here, they may be to far apart as well becose of a way to big habitatt ?

Are there more than a single pair of adults in there ? Fighting for dominance/overcrowding will also cause stress.

Do you have over head path ways that are nearby ? The guests may be viewing from there and disturbing them from that position.

no over head paths, only 1 pair of mating adults. haven't tried to don't disturb signs will give them a go. and will shrink the enclosure a bit.

I'm finding recently that most often it is habitat enrichment that is causing stress. Either not enough toys or not enough food enrichment. Worth checking on each of your Cheetah's.

So the issue was i had too big of a Habitat. thanx for the help, got cheetahs babies on the way

Too big? That’s a new one :)

Maybe too big meant they were not getting their enrichment as quickly as they should or maybe too much open space ?

I found my cheetahs like longer habitats due to their running fast for short distances.. maybe they don't like square habitats but rather long thinner ones .. but that's just my observation recall from a while back.

for the most wen to big they get to far awy from eachother and then they are not social no more , and glad it workt out :)
