That doesn't explain why items side by side built on the same grid, built on the same group of objects won't align
The solid grid almost looks like a driver issue. Are your GPU drivers updated?
When I go back, if I select the original group by either hover, or by simply clicking it and then seperatly click 'add to group' or whatever, the same glitch will occur. I will check my GPU and report back, however, since when the grid goes solid like that, I can move the pieces within the grid without any 'snapping', I don't think that is the issue.
We have pretty similar specs and I tried to move those same pieces around in sandbox mode. I couldn’t get the solid grid to appear though.
Try placing two normal wall pieces with the grid size at 4m. Then, change the grid size to 2m. Place another wall piece. The solid grid should appear now.
Also I updated everything I can update.
With the same wooden walls? I did change the grid size as I saw in your screen shot it went from 4 to 2m
I've tried every wall type in the construction menu that uses the grid automatically.
