On the other hand, I really appreciate the about to give birth notices.
Not always the case. Try having something like warthogs running around whilst you take 10 mins or so to make a new habitat. Those things breed like no tomorrow and before you know it you've got inbred little piggies running around.
The notice serves a purpose and it's useful.
As your zoo grows, the notices will get more and more frequent. Then add the snow.....
My last zoo was huge. And yes, I made it that way!.... anyway, had around 300 animals in it and one snowy day had 297 notices of animal needs at one time. Put a screen shot in a previous thread. Need to be able to group the notices better (instead of 8 separate notices that 8 separate flamingos are hungry, just make one notice. The game does group by 10...badly..... Will get a notice of 10 animal needs in a gharial enclosure but will not tell you what the heck they are complaining about. All you can do is call the keeper, and fail that, start trading some out till they quiet down.
And do we really need to know they are fighting for alpha status. Yes, the game animation is great but... Once the DLC's start loading up the species count, this is going to be a growing problem
Actually, you can turn off messages. You can even turn off messages just for certain animals. If you go to the bell in the corner of the notification screen it's got two options.
lol
x is about to inbreed .... x was under contraception, so unless they intend it to be possible to still get pregnant the notification is useless
I also made the suggestion to have the different types of notifications to be optional rather than just have animals as options.
Huh? I have three females and two males, well within the game specified amount.
quick add: On same list with the same issue are my springbok.
Planet Zoo is proving very educational.
What does Dominance say? It's the one determining vet bills.
There are male territorial bulls, just like expected. Fighting for alpha status like expected. But the beta boys have a place in the herd too, eh? If its one male per habitat, zoopedia should be changed.
How do you think they decide who mates with first choice?
Anyways, you can have bachalor and bachalorette groups. the total group =/= Bachalor group.
So back to the original question: Why the notice of "incorrect sex ratio" in the habitat if there are alpha and beta groups for M/F?
