Hippos dont recognise water!
I have a new problem today, as the title says my hippos don't see the water. I moved them out and put crocs in there and they use the water just fine. Any ideas.

Thanks

Hippos need two types of water and if you mess up either they have issues. They need the shallow bit that is nice and smooth. Depending how many you have it's roughly about 3rd of their habitat.

Then they need the deeper part. The TOO DEEP and TOO SHALLOW and not enough or too much is important. The depth is just enough for them to go under water with a little bit over their heads. Any deeper than that the water amount for their habitat shows not enough or they won't traverse the whole place.

Hope that helps. I'll jump zoo's and add a screen shot to this thread.

Did you check with the accessibility overlay?

i have the same thing, my hippo is so hungry but he doesn't swim towards the food on the other side of the lake. I cant put a food container besides him as well as the keeper wont be able to reach it.

Did you use the overlay? The transition needs to be really smooth and some objects can easily block them.

Its either the transition (use the smoothening tool), you can check this with the "accessibility overlay" tool
Or, I experienced 1 time that i had to go back to main menu and load up again.

Sure no worries. They are tricky at first, but easily fixable. :)
