Ideas for shy animal viewing areas
Does anyone have ideas for viewing animals for shy animals. I have few viewing areas with one way glass like this:

But I'm getting tired of that design. Has anyone found a way to use rocks or plants to hide people from the animals?

For my animals that are in hilly enclosures I tunnel under the hill/mountain, pop in some one way glass and frame it into the landscape. In one I built a cave that I turned into a shelter and the guests can see in from the back of that.

I have used a combination of one way and landscape. I have one set up.. so the entire guest walkway/shops and all are inside a mountain, with the enclosures around the outside and one way glass spots for each habitat. Not fiddled with just using landscape/building parts w/o the one way glass though.

You can use the "Do not disturb" signs to lower the stress caused by guests. Placing plants in front of the viewing areas can help, too. Things like swiss cheese plants, aloe, bullrushes, ivy, and etc. in front of viewing windows can block the animals' view of the people without annoying the people too much. (Actual trees make better doors than windows though.)

Thanks for the good ideas. I'll have to mess around and see what works.
