Snow completely disappeared in the antarctic with the new DLC

In year 6 of game play the snow completely disappeared, I am in year 8 and nothing. The temperature has been around -2c to zero. and there is no snow anywhere and no snow has fallen.
I can paint the snow in and it stays but the unpainted landscape is a brownish colour.
I have gone back to a previous save in year 1 and its OK, start a new game and its OK . I dont really want to loose the years I have done as everything else apart from the other annoying bugs is working OK.
Is it me that pressed something or a bug

Year 10 and the snow has fallen and still here in year 13. So that puts paid to the so called Global Warming sweetheart

Maybe try to uninstall and reinstall the game.
