Is it possible to heat up water?
Title says it all...

Basically, i'm trying out the new "arctic" Biome, got some Hippos. Using Heaters I can get tehir land area warm enough for them, but nothing happens with the water, I have tried Heaters and Coolers in teh water but its temp doesnt seem to cahnge. Everytime a hippos goes in teh water I get notifications about low welfare, not in ideal temperature range and protestors begin to arrive to the zoo.

Soon as the Hippos leave the water.. it all stops, the protestors leave.

I get that water is hard to heat up... but it is possible? Do I need to further research to get a water heater thingy? does teh water need to be "indoord"?

Or... can I jsut not have Hippos in the Arctic Biome at all??

Good question. Why wouldn’t we be able to hear and cook water if we can with the land and air.

But I think you would have a much easier time making an Arctic section with coolers in a more hippo friendly biome.

I'm not sure if it's a new addition, but now in the Utilities tab there's a water temperature regulator that can control water temperature. The small Habitat heaters don't seem to be effective on the water.

You need a water heater. It's in the menu with the power units and water cleaner.

You DON'T need to have the heater in/below the water. It has a radius just like everything else. I have a gharial exhibit in one zoo with a heater further away next to a generator: as long as the blue circle radius is touching the water you can then set the temperature to anything you want.

Works perfectly.
