Scenario terrain editing problem
It's so annoying I can't edit terrain in the Career mode. When I looked up on YouTube, if anyone else have this problem, I've only seen people playing the same scenario as me, for instance second scenario and HAVING the ability to edit the terrain. For example I need to make a pond for the animals, but i can't. Is that some kind of new update or what?

Some of the careers you are blocked from terrain edits. They blank the whole ability to force you to have to use the natural landscape (without, for example making everything flat) as a challenge. Did the same thing in Planet Coaster.

One of the last maps I remember from Coaster was on a plateau with monster caverns across a chasm. Think it was a Sci-fi map. But you couldn't get to the caverns which would of been "perfect" to fill out gold star complete. Had to use the plateau. Got really tricky. Actually worse than tricky, but yah, landscape blocked and the terrain mountain's and rocks on the plateau jacked your building plans up all over.

The sandbox mode allows you to select career maps you've finished, with the ability to edit the terrian.

I agree a little, in base-career, not editing terrian is kinda lame. But it comes with space-management challanges, so I wouldn't ask it to be different.

Some of the career scenarios have been changed since release, it might have been something that was possible before the change.

A workaround is using something from the habitat section like bedding (with flatten terrain enabled) and shift drag it a little into the ground and place it. It will auto dig the hole, you just need to keep moving it around side to side and down if you want. I think it's still possible to do that but it's been a bit since I played the starting scenarios.

Yeah, that's what was doing using habitat items.

:) You're welcome. I do miss some of the things from Planet Coaster, now that I remember that map. The moving automated objects. Had pirates and red coats you could set down as scenery items making battles for people to watch. And sci-fi had aliens shooting blasters at each other.

I used to set them up outside food courts. You know, that one teenage group that would drop littler right next to an empty trash can?

Firing squad set up. Aiming right at them. They'd pause, look, and suddenly WHAMO. Trash started going in the trash can instead of on the ground.

Dang, I miss doing that.
