Panda Park 'invalid rotation' - just a momento

during the panda park tutorial placing the just a memento gives me the error tool tip 'obstructed' or an 'invalid rotation' Anyone else have this issue?

since the new update, i having loads of issues. (staff cant access habitat, cant find asessable staff room etc) no matter what i do, the warning messages keep appearing

yeah i tried without the shell so just the bare bones block but same issue

I just checked out some videos. Did you demolish the building that was pre-built at the location? I think there's a chance that might be a (very) big problem. You could try deleting the one next to where you have to build but if you can undo the demolishing part, try that first.

I had this same issue. Saving, quitting and loading it up solved it for me.

i'll boot it up tomorrow and see if its still giving me the issue.

Select the toilet that's next to it and move it over. The toilet is in the way. Once it's a bit out of the way, try placing the momento again. You can also try re-loading too, but moving the toilet out of the way worked for me.

I have tried all of the above and now i'm getting "terrain modification failed"... so frustrating. I'm pretty understanding of bugs with relatively new games but this shouldn't be happening with a tutorial.

(edit: I did get it to finally work, ended up having the stall facing the path to the left instead of facing forwards like the restroom stall. I kind of just kept trying over and over again in different positions until something stuck.)

Holding z within the box and just spam clicking is what worked for me, it ended up facing the same direction as the adjacent toilet if that helps

I still can't get this. With shell, without it. Spamming while holding Z and turning it. Just keep getting invalid rotation. How's this game this buggy still despite having DLC released?

I am also having this issue and spam clicking while holding Z and turning it is not working. Getting invalid rotation and terrain modification failed. -.-

Do you have flatten terrain enabled on your building settings (bottom right) when placing it?

P3NGU1N - Yes I did have that enabled.

Okay so get it rotate to face the same way as the bathroom and then hit X and raise it up as well. That managed to do it for me.
