Giraffe enrichment 65%
The terrible part is that those values go down (rather quickly) for that specific animal over time the longer they've been in its enclosure. This is supposed to represent the animal getting bored of them over time.
For animals with lots of toy options, you're supposed to only put in enough toys to reach the toy enrichment need and leave the rest for later - you need to keep going back to check the animal's enrichment tab and when those numbers fall so low for that animal they no longer meet its toy enrichment need, you're supposed to remove them and replace them with a different set of "fresh" toys. And when those lose their value, you have to go back again and replace them with the old set of toys, which by that time will have their "novelty" back and will again fill the enrichment needs fully for awhile.
It's an awful, un-fun mechanic. But anyway, it only works if the animal has enough toy options that they can be switched around like that. With giraffes and several others, they have so few toy types that you need to put in all possible toys to fill their needs and when they get "bored" of those toys, there's nothing to replace them with. Like someone above said, putting compatible species together in the same habitat helps raise their enrichment a small amount for each species added but, like, maybe I don't want a giant safari with 9 species in it, maybe I just want a dang giraffe enclosure.
Sorry I can't help you with this problem, it's not your fault, it's the game's.
Totally agree about the apes, it's horrible. But you may be happy to know that food enrichment actually isn't like toy enrichment - it is its own thing and works differently and seperately - you can see both food enrichment and toy enrichment needs in the animal's enrichment tab. Food enrichment items' values don't decrease over time, and also multiples of the same item do add up.
So if you look at your gharial's enrichment tab and specifically their food enrichment need is not met, just drop more blood pumpkins and it will fill up. (If their toy enrichment need, shown below food enrichment need, is still not met then their overall enrichment bar still won't hit 100% though)
But another difference with food enrichment is that, unlike toys, more animals = higher food enrichment requirement. So if you had one blood pumpkin and that was enough for two gharials, but then they had babies and you see in their tabs that the food enrichment no longer meets the need, it's not because the item's value went down it's because the need went up. So, again, just plop down some more pumpkins :)
