Impossible to feed my safari zone?
Wondering if I done something wrong.
But I built a large Safari tour which has 50+ animals in it of varying species. Problem came with feeding as it seems only one keeper can enter the habitat to feed the animals while the other seven I assigned just walk back and forth outside " wandering" doing nothing while the animals die.

The large keeper hut is inactive and no one is making food while the one single keeper inside the habitat is slogging his way across the safari trying to get at some grazing ball that has been knocked away. I've tried moving all feeders as close as I can to the door but I've already lost so many animals to starving.

Guess I'm just asking if that is a normal part of the game where only one keeper can enter for feeding, or is something bugged?

AFAIK, it can't handle habitats on that scale since at most a keeper only shows up once a month to feed regardless of if you try to page them to arrive earlier. I think others have gotten around this by subdividing their huge safari tours into smaller habitats via creative null barrier use and landscaping so each habitat has its own door and can get fed/cleaned by its own assigned keeper. It looks like one gigantic space, but it works like lots of smaller habitats.

i have been having this issue with any enclusure that has more than one species in it. even if they eat out of the SAME feeder. i have event deleated all the enritchment items and left only feeders. the keeper walks in and either cleans or just leaves. i lost 12 raindeer from this. they where fine and breeding then suddenly my keepers decided they wanted them and the sheep all to die. all my arfrican savanah animals are starving as well. i just turned the ggame off as i cant deel with it. my zoo was doing amazing then suddenly went to crud. i have about 30 staff huts and 20 keepers huts... and like 20 enclusures max.

every time ive had a zoo fail financially it's because I've attempted to set up an african safari area with the 4x4 ride. It just doesnt earn enough money to cover the number of animals that need to be fed. Also as mentioned the keepers struggle to cover such a large area, especially when it's filled with so many animals.

Well yeah, learned a hard lesson from this one then, 50+ animals down to 14, so many bodies I now have bones in the enclosure. Hopefully it's something they can patch and fine tune at a later date. But thanks for the ideas Zanika, seems that's a decent option to try in the meantime.
Can feel the frustration Inomay, I almost scrapped my Zoo over this too.

I don’t have any vehicles in mine, but 4 different species with 4-5 each, multiple feeders, 1 keeper feeds, 1 cleans, it’s setup as a work zone and the staff buildings are in the habitat. No feeding problems but I always have to cull as they complain of lack of space.

It’s never the most popular habitat but there’s always the most people there.

FYI you can only have 1 keeper per job per habitat from what I’ve read.

They really need to change how keepers feed animals. They'll leave animals to starve from my experience even if staff rooms and keeper huts are near the habitats. I really don't get the restriction of one keeper in a habitat at a time. Even in smaller habitats that have (for example) a family of bonobo, they still struggle to feed them enough since they need to eat quite alot.
