My game is using 11257mb memory on average on medium settings. I am also experiencing lag spike's while building close to my Red panda's.... i dont know why...
Anyone any idea's how to fix ? i tried reinstalling, restarting etc.
Anyone else experiencng the same problems?

I have a huge PC Specs:
GPU: Palit GeForce RTX 2070 Super GameRock
CPU: i7-9700K
RAM: 32 GB

This could be to do with your video card settings rather than the game settings. For GeForce cards you should have a control panel which allows you to select different modes including Gaming or Silent mode etc.I think it will also allow you to set the max VRAM to use etc.

I have a GeForce card as well and have to be honest, it worked OK straight away. Yours does sound like some kind of hardware thing though. Could it be DirectX? If you’re on v11 it might be worth getting v12.

The game engine only supports Direct X11 whatsoever..

That should definitely mean DX 11 or above. I’ve never known a game fail from a newer version.

If your drivers are up to date AND you recently started a new zoo OR have a large zoo it's the way the game is currently. It's largely unoptimized and struggles to run large zoos (or recently started ones depending on the map). You could open a ticket here: https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/, there might be some helpful tips by the support team but I doubt it. I have 500+ hours in the game and the same graphic card as yours. And it behaves the same what you are reporting. Unlike in every other game. Good luck

If it was a memory leak then you'd be seeing more and more memory being used, without even doing much, until inevitably there was absolutely none left. If the memory usage flattens out, then it's not a memory leak.

That being said.... the game definitely needs a lot of optimization.

No there is definitely a memory leak present somewhere.
