I would have no issue with them adding a time scale that doesn't affect 18min years and those who use it suffer the consequences or a half speed where animals move slowly.
YES, time is much too fast.
I wouldnt want to set tit to a be slower in general but add 3 additional slower time settings:
standard x4
standard x12
and a mode which is more or less real time ... just to watch the living zoo.
... so all those speed freaks who want to see their zoo in fast forward and strive for maximum animal turnover and fast zoo development would not be bothered at all.
the growing up for example for Elephants and SaltwaterCrocs... no.. I personally disagree.
The Time is not to fast imo... if i had to manage some things i always pauses the game
I have no issue with the speed, I don't run fast forward either, but I can understand why people would want to.
all the problems however I experience with "too fast" can be solved by adding auto-selling and allowing 2 keepers into a habitat at once (2 scooping poop or getting food)
at about 50 animals the workload is just too much for non-"call keeper to habitat" constantly gameplay.
Sure, if it was RT I could understand but seriously, you'd really need a far more convincing argument than this.
I thought this was one of the main draws of the game, the satisfaction of propagating species, but when it's so incredibly simple and quick, it means virtually nothing... LAME
I think that's exactly the problem though! Once you get to a reasonably sized zoo, you have to obsessively pause to manage the animals, so you can't expand or enjoy the zoo.
Rather than changing the time, I'd opt for an "auto-manage" feature that automatically handles a percentage of the animals. For example, once you hit 10 exhibits, it would be nice if you could select up to 5 of them to managed by the AI
