I have a really befy computer and good internet. It says it will take over an hour to download this game why? games usually dont take this long for me I know its a new game and all but I think this is too much...Someone else with this issue?

I need to download an 8GB patch which takes very long as well. I guess it's because too many people are downloading at the same time :)

yea i downloaded the first 8 gb in 5 min and now i've been updating the game in the last hour, its really slow

My games usually also take like 15 ish minutes but now its like 1 hour and 15 mins. Yes I meant to say that I have a good speed. And I usally never have theese problems also for some reason it only download 1 mbit per sec and I checked nothing else is using the connection. It's frustrateing.

could be the download servers being overrun. sep i think steam handles that but still. also depends on where you are located. a lot of people forget the internet is just a bunch of servers connected.. if everyone is trying to download the same thing in the same area at the same time, the server gets slow. but it could also be YOUR network, if you use cable, the bandwith is shared with all your neighbors, so peak hours always suck ass. anyway.. maybe just close out anything using your modem and be patient, hope for the best.

at least it's only an hour.

The game only took 8 minutes total for me to download and get into the game. As others have mentioned, its likely the 'download servers' are just being swarmed at the moment.

Er yes it is nothing to do with the quality or price of the game. It's your internet speed and the steam server upload speed.

Boss: Thats not what I meant I just mean for that price tag the developers can afford good servers that takes faster to download. Theyre a good company I dont see how indidew teams consistent of 1 person makes games that download faster I just find it weird...And its not like this is deal breaking for me Im stil downloading the game and still haveing fun. Whats ridicilous is your attempt to make me feel bad.

The game is not downloaded from Frontiers servers. The game is downloaded from Steam servers. The developer has no influence over download speed. Only you and your ISP do. I'm sorry my facts are hurting your feelings, it was never the intention.
