Based on recommended requirements : 16 GB available space

Beta install folder was under 7GB so 16GB sounds like a good number for the full install.

Says in the news of today that there is no pre-load.

There is no preloading, so no way to know how big the size will be. On the store page, it says you'll need 16GB of HDD space. Which seems about accurate.

I wish it were marked as installed still at least.

That way, the game would've been updated with running Steam.
Now, I have to actively download it.

If you still have the beta installed the download will be an update rather than the whole thing.

Yeah, but it's marked as "Not installed" in Steam. Doesn't that mean it requires an active installing, more so than the usual "Automatic update", despite the Beta files still apparent?

It's marked as "not installed" because the game is no longer active. Once it releases it will detect the pre-existing files and download only the required files.

The thing is, Beta games normally are remaining as "Installed", but you can't start them anymore. This is marked as uninstalled, and this suggests, that if I keep Steam running, it won't update it without my active part, but instead as having to install it actively. If I then add the file path, that was used before, it will detect remaining files and only download, what remains necessary.

Is this explained better?

The beta was not a separate product, just an enabling of the main product for a limited time.

Steam is only telling you its uninstalled because the game is not set to "released" hence it can't possibly be a state of "installed".

As long as you haven't manually deleted the files it will detect them and update on release day.

Let me tell you, that I'll be happy, if you're correct. So, I'll go with your story, and just going to sue a voluntary moderator for their house, if you lied to me :lunar2019grinningpig:

I did provide citation from a Frontier representative in my initial post although it was edited in around the same time as your first reply so I guess you missed it.
