Fleeing Flamingos
So... in Sandbox mode, I decided to add some Flamingos. However high I make the fence they... magically walk through it. All of them. Every time. All the time. Help?!

Raise the height. They don't seem to fly off when the fence is at least 6 feet high.

Do the guests run? Fancy running from a flamingo :D They just hang out constantly in places like Miami.. much nachos, hit the Mojitos. Then again a Flamingo on a Mojito isn't a pretty sight maybe they should run.

@Mythophile - I raised it as high as possible. They just.. 'float' out through the fence, always the same exact spot.

@Zeesha XD they don't run.. yet... but they are persistent.. what's a mojito? Sounds like an adult beverage? I'd have one - especially after the Flamingo fiasco!

Try to use Brickwalls at the section where they "float" through

A Mojito is a cocktail that consists of: white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint. ;)

Back to the game - Maybe its a terrain issue, is the land flat, or at least smoothed?

@redsox I'll definitely give that a try tomorrow, thanks!

@Katelyn: that sounds delicious! If that's what they are after I can hardly fault them! As for the landscape - it's smoothed.. though, it is right where they can get out of the water, too. Is it possible I made the water too deep? From what I watched online, they only like shallow water?

It is possible. Though I've had deep water and they swim just fine. :/

Give it a try. I know the Hippos are fussy with the water depth, maybe the Flamingos are the same and I was just lucky with mine

If that doesnt work try the null barriers outside your barriers.

Are your barriers on a slope? I've experienced animals walking through fences when my fences were below (on a slope) the "living grounds". No matter how much it got raised, they just walked through them.

Well... I just tried it again and they never once tried to break out. I changed nothing. The terrain has never been raised. So that wasn't it. I have seriously no idea what caused it in the first place. Quite frankly, I think this game has a lot of strange bugs on and off. Like today, a lot of my animals were suddenly starving. Who knows what it will be like tomorrow when I start the game again. It's sweet and I enjoy it BUT... yeah... bugs. Lots of them. And I don't really like them in any shape, be it the buzzing kind or the kind that messes with your games.
