Zoo Opening Hours

So earlier today I had a zoo running all day because I really needed the money, now im building a new one and im wondering whats the use if the closing hours? Or why wouldnt I have to zoo open all day long?

I don't have a real answer, but I have some guesses. Like perhaps to give you staff a break? They can sweep, fix, etc unhindered by guests crowding areas or giving them new work all the time. Or perhaps to just be realistic?

It's to do with the lighting for you :P I enjoy the day and night cycle, with the different lights and effects, but it's hard to build at times, especially with early morning and late afternoon glare! If you reduce the hours, you can keep the sun above you, making it MUCH easier to work on the enclosures etc.

Hit the L key at nighttime, helps a ton

If you're having trouble seeing at night time, just set it so your zoo is only open during the day.

At night it will zoom through the time and be daylight again almost instantly

It doesn’t affect your guests, animals or staff, it’s just an aesthetics thing

Nope, as stated above, it is purely a lighting preference.
