what is the best biome/continent for a zoo?

i started with temperate europe, and in winter times i have to heat every habitat, so i'm thinking of starting a new franchise zoo in a biome/continent that allows most animals to be unheated.

i'm thinking afrika grassland would be suitable for the greatest number of unheated habitats, while only needing to cool down some taiga/tundra animals.

tropical seems to be the least extreme, grassland can be extremely hot

Honestly either way you will probably be spending the same amount on heating and cooling no matter what. The expense really isnt that bad, you should really play where you like.

Personally i think it's either tropical or grasslands as they host the largest amount of animals.
As for continents it doesn't really matter i believe, or does it?

Depends on what you want from your game.
But any biome/continent can host any animal anyway (since you can use heaters/coolers/etc)

Personally I did several zoo's in different regions and biomes and try to keep Animal's "close" to to the native. Then I also have a mix all together European style zoo.

If you just want the most without hassle, then tropical seems the way

You know how animals live in different places naturally? Yeah, that's a thing in Planet Zoo as well!
Each biome will have an environment that is perfect for some animals, and for others you'll have to "terraform" to make it suitable ( including heating and cooling).
Basically, pick the one you like the look of best ( I personally LOVE the tropical backdrop! ), no matter which biome you choose, you'll be doing work for some species!

Glass domes prevent snow, and look fantastic when done well!

The other alternative is to use each continent/biome combination to design a zoo specific to those animals.... less work on your behalf but you may end up with more babies as a result which you can transfer into your other zoos as new display animals that may or may not breed on.

I actually like it. The animal's will do just fine even if they have a month of snow.
