Most profitable animals?
I'm playing franchise mode and I'm trying to save for the bigger animals, So far I have 5000 leaf points but I want to have a little buffer.
I'm trying to decide what m,y next animal habitat is going to be. So far I only have African animals(Boks, wartshogs, ostriches, hyena's, aardvark and hippo's and maki's)
I want to make an American and Asian section as well.
And plan to start a safari zone later on in the game.

what are, in your opinion the most profitable animals to buy right now? Guest pleasing and bringing me the leaf points when selling them.
I was thinking maybe red panda's? Any other ideas?

I have a lot of Bengal tigers right now and whenever ever I open a new zoo I put a pair of them as starting animals, right away I get the notification that the guests think zoo ticket is underpriced. So you can try this as well.

Yes I was debating between the panda's or the tigers. I'll see if I have enough points for the tigers. Zoo is running pretty well now but I feel disaster and going completly broke is just around the corner lol

Each animal shows its base fame points. The higher it is, the more attention it will get.

Once you get going, it's honestly hard to screw it up. The game isn't that difficult once you figure out the start.

Don't go afk for an hour with all your animals making babies, and you're pretty much good to go.

Tigers are cheap right now and release into the wild for a good price, I make 5k a breeding cycle doing so.
Berlioz Nov 11, 2019 @ 1:48am
I bought 2 tigers!
Tzar Nov 11, 2019 @ 1:55am
Be careful with only 2 tigers that you do not create inbreeding. If you get a decent baby that you want to use to breed from, bring in another lineage from the market and sell the previous mating pair ( or separate the breeding pairs/use contraceptives on them)

Breed the two, take the best two from it and buy two more to match with the split two. Releasing tigers is generally better money than selling them on the market which is why i get so confused when people say that the prices on the market are from greedy people... they are literally taking a cut and putting in more effort to sell them.

Thanks for the tips. I want to buy more, but it says that there can only be 1-2 tigers in the enclosure. Did you guys build more enclosures?
Tzar Nov 11, 2019 @ 2:20am
Yes... many many enclosures XD
Berlioz Nov 11, 2019 @ 2:21am
hahah ok cool! I just can't decide where to put them so in the meantime I'm going to hunt for tigers on the animal market.

Dont go too heavy into it, expand slowly. I built 15 habitats at once and quickly dropped from having 500k or so to -90k due to feeding costs. Took me a little while to fix.

I made a habitat for my hippo's at the end of the zoo and nobody was coming and there were no donations at all. Could have been a bug but I moved their habitat and everything was fine. Im worried it will happen again with the tigers but there is just no space in the beginning of the zoo and the sides because staff paths and building

Im just planning on tigers and red pandas today. I love red pandas.

You need stuff to draw them over there, I haven't quiet worked out what causes the visitors to ignore habitats but they straight up ignore my elephants but walk across the zoo to my hippos. I think it might be variety and am going to put some exhibits by my elephants, if not ill try shops and if that fails I'll try being confused some more.

It's one of the annoying things with a new franchise. low funds at the start means you'll struggle to design the zoo well, and by the time the income is there, it's built up and very hard to rearrange!

There is a ( very boring though) way around this... exhibits. A long grid path from the entrance towards the middle of the park, ending with some staff pathing to your staff buildings. Line the guest path with exhibits, and pop a donation bin by each one with an education board. 1 keeper per 6 exhibits, keep breeding on and sell / rotate the babies, and you'll end up swimming in money after 10-15 years of that. On the plus side, a mechanic can be doing research to unlock some of the building stuff.

I do this for each of my breeder zoos, only I go one step beyond, and mass build the mechanic workshops and research huts, and get all the disease and mechanic research out the way during this phase. You might go negative income but you'll fire a lot of the staff used for research, bringing you back positive in the end. It's a pain, but worth it, in my opinion.
