Also I am not sure if they mean an albino version of the Indian Rhino or another species the Southern White Rhino
We just have one rhino species, the Indian Rhino. Hoping we get at least Black or White African ones sometime in the future.
This isn't meant to be condescending, just adding information to conversation. Absolutely no offense intended:)
Actually the south western Black Rhino (not to be confused with Southern Black Rhino) is vulnerable status - the other species of Black Rhino are indeed extinct. They could still add the one remaining species in.
The White Rhino has only one gender remaining, two females from what I just read. The last male white rhino died a year or two ago, so for all intents and purposes this is now an extinct species, at least once the two female die.
But I agree, a tough decision for the game devs to add in.
Ha thanks...that is what i get for going by wikipedia o_O. Good to read about the Southern White Rhino!
Still, there are plenty of endangered and critically endangered animals yet to add to Zoopedia.
From the point of view of the game, I wonder if this paves the way for a classic animals pack?
Yes, they already did (and will continue to do so) and it worked! I'm so happy about that :D
ie:
African Elephant
Common Ostrich
Plains Zebra
Reticulated Giraffe
African Buffalo
Sable Antelope
Common Warthog
Thompson's Gazelle
Springbok
...Can all be put in a single pen. All Africa. There's only, like, 1 other "species enrichment" group at all.
If they come from the same continent and similar biomes and aren't a predator some experimentation might prove surprising
