Report a translation problem
1. Your new climbables can't be accessed by the animal in question for whatever reason. Maybe they're not sturdy enough for the size, maybe they're too steep for the species, something like that.
2. If you're building straight upward there may be a height limit. Try building broader instead of taller and see if that fixes it.
Unfortunately I'm not experienced yet (somehow I've yet to put any climbable animals in my zoos since release!) but those are places I'd start if I were troubleshooting my own issue with climbable space.
