Why are my zoo staff starting at a 1.1k salary?
Brand new one star hires are starting with a $1,100 salary. What the actual ♥♥♥♥ is that? How are you supposed to start a zoo on 40k and maintain it when you have to pay a keeper, a caretaker, a mechanic and a vet all 1.1k each? What? Is there some sorta bug with staff salaries?

First, you do not need a caretaker at the start, and if you build in pause to start off, and build a simple habitat ( don't pick stuff like elephants as your first, start with like warthogs, or peacocks, or yeah, small easy stuff ) and set up plenty of donation points, the income rolls in.

It's actually dead easy to make income in this game

Not a bug, working as intended. I have played 2 Zoos so far and always start with 1 of every staff type and while I usually go into the negative for a while in the beginning, eventually I will reach a point where I make a little profit at which point expanding the park with just 1 more habitat will then turn it around and from then on it's smooth sailing and earning more money than you can spend.

That's really easy, though. I've started 4 Zoos. 2 in Beta, 2 in Live and both versions went into plus with ease. Campaign is even harder than franchise.

2 enclosures, 1 of each staff. A few benches. If money is not too tight, food and drink stall and a few bins. Done. The plus is coming soon.

Note, just don't take animals, which have too high requirements for the start. Large enclosures or extremely dense vegetation is something you'd want to avoid in the beginning.

Simple some jobs have higher starting pay than other. You do not expect a vetrinarian who has schooling and trained to take care of animals to work for the wage of a no school needed vendor do you?

It is realistic that some jobs start at a higher wage than others, just like real life. You go to college or trade school to learn a specialized job you expect higher starting pay.

at the start I was broke. 0 money and 55000 loaned. Now I have 1mil. It is easy enough to make money, you just have to get startet.
