Hiding staff Facilities
Hi all,
How do you effectively hide the staff facilities from guests to prevent negative impact on them. using themes and hiding them in buildings makes no difference

In the lower left corner of the screen you can see the overlay button which shows you electricity, water cleanliness and so on. There is also a button which shows you buildings that lower attractiveness. Every staff facility has an area of effect which lowers attractivity. Just get the facilities away from the areas your visitors are. Hiding them in buildings does nothing at all. It's just about how far you put them away from your visitors. That's all that matters

I think guests don't like to be near it. Even if you Theme it.

thanks, thats what i thought, makes it kinda nightmare for planning. shame applying themes or hiding them doesnt have any impact at all

The way I run mine, is build my enclosures in like a "pie chart" around a central area where my staff stuff is. Power, water, keeper hut, staff room. habitat gates to all the enclosures and a staff pathway leading out. The enclosures are big enough that the staff building radius doesn't reach the guests and as a bonus, if you add it all to a workgroup, it leads to VERY low walking times.

You can have many of these "pie charts" building up your zoo

I struggled with this (My park design is far from pretty) as I was tired of making webs of staff paths for power plants etc but it seems once you unlock solar panels you can put them on top of shops and guests don't seem to mind them being there...however you will need a staff path leading up to it to fix it annoyingly.

Nice idea for a layout Trylana.....think I may incorporate that into my next zoo....if it works well I may make some changes to my current ones as well. Thanks for sharing.

How did you do that large plaza? I am fairly new to the game and only seem to be able to do paths of various widths but not large plazas?

Is there any easy way to do circular plazas and paths in a circle?

Align to grid on pathing

I just stuck them behind a big wall at the back of my red panda sanctuary. So far it seems to have worked

They started seeing the buildings again when I made a peacock sanctuary next door. I just made the back hedge taller than the building, and they stopped complaining again.

The biggest issue I have is that, they can enter and touch the peacock's. Yet for some reason they complain the view of them is terrible... Like wtf?

I was having the same sort of thing but then I realized that my enclosure was visible from a different far-away path and people were stopping to gawk at my animals from there, so I put a brick fence instead of glass along that wall so they couldn't see in from that far away path and solved it.

Oh I did the opersite, I had the problem with hedges right around (no glass) so I added glass. Unfortunately no different, I guess I'll try to add some brick wall next and maybe make them even higher.

Though honestly I think they should fix this with a patch, not my fault the guest's can see higher than their heads.
