Time goes too fast

I am really dissapointed with time in this game. I loved playing Zoo Tycoon, where 1 Year felt like forever and I was really looking forward to see little babies. But Planet Zoo is too fast for me. I have too much money too fast and no time to build something, while Im constantly busy selling offspring... I really hope for an update on this.
Is anyone else also uncomfortable with speed?

i would also love that you could somehow have a options slider which lets you arrange that. for people who wanna have a long time with an animal and not change it every 2 hours.

I agree it feels too fast with all the micromanaging you end up doing with population control in larger zoos.

I agree. I don't mind it now, but I'd like it to be a little slower. Ideally I'd prefer to have a scaling time slider, but I'm not sure how feasible that is with the engine.

This crazy game time is killing it for me atm. I currently have a tiny zoo with 2 timber wolf habitats and a bunch of frogs breeding like fkn jack rabbits (challange mode) and all im doing is letting animals go into the wild every 1min off game time, sure im making loads of cash and points but have no game time to spend them. Days going by every 15sec does not suddenly mean a good complex managment system it just means im hitting the same buttons and making the same choices every min.

Yes i know i can stop them breeding but that would defeat the point of having breeding pairs and just be removing a large chunk of the game. On a side note having my zoo on the east coast of aus and it raining every day is the most unrealistic of any weather system ive seen in game for ages.

right now i dont know what to do ..... i would love to sitt here over the weekend building a massive zoo complex but by the time it would be finished 50 000 years in game time would have gone past and that would be just fkn stubid. ...

Seriously... you enjoy your animals while building? Pause the game to build and then enjoy your animals once built. The game speed is fine and you're are just not using the tools provided. I can literally go away from my pc with my zoo running for hours IRL and it will be fine yet you don't have time to look at your animals? This is a you problem and not a game problem.

year lasts 18mins, wolves take 3 years to age if I remember correctly thats 1hr before they are ready to do anything. Why lie?

why lie .....o my god .....fan much ..... u just said it yourself year last 18min if i sitt here and play 6 hours a day for two days and dont pause my game ALL the time like you want calculate how old my zoo would be please rofl.

calculate how quick the frogs grow up and think about that, your asking ppl to use pause to manage game time in a management game ....fks sake pls try harder or otherwise ill fall off my chair laughing at you.

Yea i looked on youtub and and read on forums and found the time/speed issu is a gamebreaker for me, soo im not buying either.

It really does suck. I thought it would be okay but it's literally two-three times faster than it should be.

"cool, an animal is pregnant"
*looks away for 5 secs
"wow I have twice as many animals as before.."

I'm amazed that they thought this was the best speed for a game about life-cycles... Pausing is not a solution to this!

Right hang on, your complaining you cant build anything because your too busy selling animals. Do you should pause. But you dont like pausing because you cant look st animals. But if your building you are not looking at animals.

So whats the problem here. It doesnt feel that fast to me at all. And i spend ages just watchinf my animals. Are you guys playing on fast forward?

you can pause when you need to do some editing so it's not too much of a problem.

He is saying to pause to BUILD. not manage time. Op argued he cant build because animals are doing too much, and he does t pause because he is watching them. Makes no sense
