Main Menu Freeze On Startup

"Connecting" in top left corner, game just hangs. Seems to happen 50% of the time on startup.

I have the same problem. I updated my video card driver to the latest, it does not solved the problem.

Probably your Internet connection.

Nothing to do with video drivers.

Same. First game start always does this. Cant do anything in menu and must use task manager to shut game down. When launcing again, it works.

Also have the problem. Strong Hardware + Game installed on SSD. The First startup always runs into this.

My First startup connected without any problems and also every one since.

you have to run steam in offline mode and then play, you can't play franchise

Same here...first launch of the day : freeze on the start menu...the list mode appears, the planet on the right too (but without seeing my friends, no "option menu" in top right).
Have to kill the game thru task manager.
Didnot had issue on beta...

At this time, pretty hard to play between this and some issue in game (object blocked in the ground etc)

Well the game has Denuvo and that always makes some problems.
Maybe it happens because the game checks with the DRM servers the first time you start it.

The game definitely ran for me albeit the the second time I ran it - but not since. It initially crashed immediately after making an avatar but following this it worked on max settings without any slowdown... save the UI. Ever since, however, it crashes as it tries to load the main menu and the bug reporter even got it flagged by my anti-virus initially as well.

Mouse click does not work in the start menu
I play on MacBook through Parallels and have an extra mouse. I turn on the game via Steam and could not get further that the starting menu because I cannot click. My mouse is moving and the game reacts on the moves but the click is something this gama cannot notice somehow.
Did anybody meet this problem? Have any suggestions?

Set compatibility to Windows 7 (assuming you are on Windows 10). That should fix it for now.
