bad graphics for animals

So i bought the game and i enjoy it very much. The only thing thats bothering me is that the graphics of the animals are extremely blurry. Even when i set everythin on ultra graphics, it still remains blurry. Does someone know how to fix this? My laptop can smoothly run this game so that shouldn't be a problem

No its not their fur. I have the same issue. Zebras pattern is blocky and all animals have low res skins sort of like the game is loading in their discrete LOD textures and not fixing them when looking from a normal distance.

same here, ground textures, people, paths look great, but the animals look all glossy with hardly any textures :D

yeah so it's obviously a bug in the game. I've contacted the developers and they say they will patch it very soon. :)

Check your AA settings, the low performance impact one makes things look blurry. It should look decent, look at the screenshots people post:

Unless this is what you consider blurry too?

For me changing from 1080 to 1440 made quite big difference in things looking sharp. Maybe you can upscale through nvidia settings.

I have that issue too with the blocky fur texture :(

jup exacly, an update passed by and they haven't fixed it yet :(

Looks like a similar problem to what Total War: Rome 2 had at launch, where the game is incorrectly reading VRAM limitations and enabling resource-saving low res textures when it doesn't need to. Definitely a bug, sounds like they're looking into it.

yep same with mine.. thought it was settings but clearly its a problem within the game, iv actually not played the game for months due to no heads up on changes they make.

I just got the game and I am having the same issue I don't know whats wrong, I'm kinda mad about it, i really want to see the animals in all there glory.
Going through all the settings nothing helps. I set it to ultra and the environment looks amazing (runs slow) but the animals look exactly the same no matter if it is on lowest setting or ultra (the animals are really blocky and blurry). The environment will change with the settings but not the animals. Can anyone help?

This problem was something that i had a long time ago and at later back then, the problem was fixed. Maybe you need to update your drivers or system?

I’ve updated my drivers and system and the animals still are messed up so I think it’s just a bug in the game
