Franchise Mode - Can't buy animals for money
Hey everybody. I got a huge problem - In Franchise mode I cannot buy any animals for money, only via Conservation points. I've been playing for hours and almost 10 ingame years trying to buy any kind of animal couple with the 200 points you start out with, so i can breed them and gain conservation points - but without sucess so far. I've made a couple thousand of bucks with reptiles, frogs etc but i can't seem to get regular animals.

Is this mode supposed to be played like that? Is somebody else facing the same kind of problem?

The Frontier Zoo will throw out animals for cash from time to time, but you have to keep refreshing and be quick to get them. I started out with mostly cash animals this morning -- American Bison and Wildebeest.

During the beta, I also started out with cheap and prolific animals like warthogs and peacocks. I have been noticing throughout the day that pronghorn and ostrich are already getting cheaper so that you can buy individuals for less than 100Cp each. If you can grab a cash animal from a cheaper species and then get a mate for CP, you've got your starting point.

You also get 100CP for logging in (or at least you did during the beta), just make sure you actually start in instead of hitting resume. Plus, you get 20CP each for certain number of handhsakes with the avatar bots the game sends to your zoo, too.

I got lucky and read about someone using ostrigs (can't spell). Try that or the peacocks. I suggest using the filter money to find the cheaper ones. It is possible, you just have to start with the "less" popular animals.

Change the filter to cash and there are THOUSANDS of animals to buy.

Doesn't help players are already price gouging citing "preferred traits" as the reason for charging up the ass for everything. I thought they were going to include a single player variant where you just dealt with the Frontier market. I remember them mentioning it during the beta when people were complaining about forced online connectivity to play.

You're right about this, is there no offline franchise...? I haven't gotten a chance to play yet. If I find the mode once I start playing, I'll let you know. Would be kind of a shame if it's not there, unless they intend to add it a bit later.

I don't know what you are searching for but, the animals I have seen and purchased were cheap. The most expensive I purchased was maybe $900.

Check your filters

Found it, it's Challenge mode.

I'm having this same thing in Franchise . I'm running my zoo on snakes and spiders because I never got any animals that I can buy with cash. I have the filter set to cash. If I was not able to by 2 Pea...**** with conservation cash I would not have any animals. I have even sat here for 15 minutes clicking the refresh button every 10 seconds with no cash animals

Best advice I can give is try to buy a pair of fast-breeding social animals via cash that can 'reproduce forever' without needing micro. You'll be able to release the older animals as time goes on for a steady income of conservation credits.

Ex: Monkeys are great for this, they love large groups and breed decently fast. Bears are terrible for this, they fight once their offspring grow up (though you can make multiple habitats to alleviate this and breed bears 'commercially' by separating the generations) and don't tend to breed more than once from my experience.
