Are you putting down the correct feeding items? Do your keepers have pathway access to the keeper's building so they can go product the food needed? If you have them assigned to a work area, did you make sure to include a staff room and keeper's building in the assignment list?

I liked how in the tutorial, only the feed items for the animal I was working with was shown. Would just be nice if I could click and animal, see JUST its feeding options, select, and place.

...this exists. Use the filter tool to filter to the species you are working with. Then go to Habitat and select the food/water sub-section to see only feeders for the species you are looking at.

I had to fire and rehire a keeper as mine was stuck in idle near the keeper hut

Yeah I just came to make this post. I have keeper huts, the right feeding items, pathways, power..etc. The Keepers are only feeding one habitat - the rest of them are being ignored. They walk in, stand for a moment, then leave without doing anything.

It's the same issue from the beta apparently. Just now I don't know how to fix it anymore as deleting the enrichment items won't fix it either.
They fill up the enrichment food but not the main trays. It's annoying as hell.

Keep in mind that keepers only feed up to the point that the animals need it. They don't feed 100% of the feeders if you have more than you need. They start with the enrichment feeders and fill those first, then move to the lower priority normal feeders. It keeps track of how much food is needed based on how many animals are in the habitat. Otherwise you would run out of money from food expenses if they just spam filled feeders when not needed.

That being said, i've never seen a keeper totally ignore an animal when it's complaining as some make it sound like is happening.

Believe me I've had several animals dying of starvation because of not being fed. So no, it's not about the money thing.

I had the same problem. For me the solution was to put the worker building closer and making sure it had power. I also forgot to rotate the generator to get a road to it. So my generator got damaged but they couldn't repare it.

Here's a fix that worked for me, try moving the keeper hut farther away from the main staff path so there's some space, i guess my keeper's couldn't path it out since it was such a small path

After 9 hours of playing, I've found the solution! Lol.. Took nine hours XD
As it turns out, you need to create work zones for your keeper. Make sure the habitats and the keeper's hut are selected. They will come to feed your animals thereafter. You can put as many food enrichment as you want, they will feed your animals still. I hope this helps you guys xx

Starting slow and I have only a single species (3 Pronghorn Antelope). There is a keeper hut about 30 feet from the entrance to the exhibit. Everything has power and pathways. My keeper is assigned to a zone which includes the exhibit, staff lounge, and the keeper hut. I put out small, medium, and large Food Troughs (which specify they work with Antelope). Since I just started, there are no enrichment items in the exhibit either so contrary to what people say, I seriously doubt that is the root cause of the problem.

There is nothing more I can do, yet the keeper will NOT fill the food trough. This is a serious bug and needs to be looked at ASAP since animals will starve without being fed. The fact I remember this is "beta" and it wasn't addressed is even more unfortunate.

Answer from Planet Zoo I found on Facebook regarding this: Keepers will work out how much food they need to prepare for a habitat based on how many animals are in the habitat. They will then prioritise filling enrichment feeders before standard feeders. This can mean that if all of the prepared food is placed in enrichment feeders, the standard feeders won't be filled. Keepers cann also become tired and won't perform their duties if they are not rested, so make sure you let them have some time off at a Staff Centre now and again.
