Let me ask you this one simple question.

WHAT IS EVERYONE'S PROBLEM WITH BETA DATES AND PRE-ORDERS?

I would give you an honest answer but I fear that if I did I'd get banned or the thread would get locked down 'cause people can't speak the honest truth if their opinion(s) don't align with the false image that the company wants to present of itself.

Well, as long as you give me a reasonable argument I'd say go for it.

Define "reasonable"? What might be "reasonable" to one might not be reasonable to you. If you truly wanted to know the answer to your question you'd find ALL answers "reasonable". Even if you still don't understand the responses you get. If you disagree with or don't like any answer that you might be given then one can only conclude that you truly didn't want to know. Therefore, there doesn't appear to be any "reasonable" reason why your question should be answered since you indicate that you might find others answers unreasonable.

1. The community was promised summer 2019 and technically it's not going to be in summer.
2. Usually, beta access means you get to play a bit earlier than other people, not: you get to play for a little bit and then you have to wait another month-ish.

Especially the latter is just... weird. There is no settling in and chilling if you have to keep an eye on the date, imo.

I am honestly confused with all this hullabaloo ever since Frontier announced their beta dates some time ago. It's kinda trivial (at least to me), why argue about when you can play the game?

Frontier don't moderate the forums, we're all unpaid volunteers and we couldn't give a monkey's (pun intended) whether people are critical of the game/Frontier or full of praise. All we care about are that all posts follow Steam's posting guidelines to which you'll notice the inclusion of "Derail a thread's topic" under items you should not do.

And there it is.................. Just as i stated why I wouldn't answer the OP's question (which wasn't an authentic question to begin with). Thanks for proving my point. Even though I DID respond directly to the OP's question.

If you read the OP's responses he so much as confirmed that he wasn't looking for any truthful answers as he already holds the belief that anyone's answer to his question where they outline their reasons is (and i quote) "trivial".

If I had to speculate I`d say it`s the fact that, You pre-order now and get to play for a little while then the access to the beta is pulled and there`s still over a month to wait for the release.

Frontier should really have offered the beta client, Playable until release. You can gather that they feel that the product has a short life cycle and giving everyone who pre-orders it access until release will see a dramatic increase in refunds as most people will have seen 80% of the game and just want their money back due to it being very shallow both in content and game play.
