Mac port
Will you ever release a version for macintosh systems? I feel that macs have developed to the point where many can easily run big games, and i would love to be able to play this game on my mac without a emulator.

Planet Zoo will be a PC exclusive game.

macOS is not supported because macOS does not support DirectX 11, a minimum requirement for this game.

Windows PC's are your friend. Not Macs.

Protip: You could just dualboot into windows from your Mac machine and enjoy DX11 content just fine.

Well macs are made and good for professional work, not for gaming. They have never been and do not seem to be in the near future interesting for PC game studios.

The problems start where Apple likes to charge at least three times as much for the same hardware as normal companies, when they all they really do is take last year's laptop parts and glue them to a pretty looking slab of aluminum. Forget silly trifles like airflow and open standards.

X64 Macs will likely be off the shelves within a year, and basically be replaced with models with cell phone silicone. Every apple desktop made in the last 12 years has either been a useless piece of trash with Intel graphics, or a complete ripoff. Macbook Airs overheat when trying to load a website. I'm not familiar with recent Macbook Pros, but something tells me you would start thermal throttling at the title screen.

Mac is unpopular because Apple wants it to be. It's a fashion statement for people with more money than sense. Actually their ultrabooks are great portable machines, but by design, because they are so thin, they are absolutely awful for gaming, which creates tons and tons of heat.

Why would anyone in their right mind support Mac in 2020? Maybe their ARM computers will actually be able to sustain a couple minutes of gameplay without overheating and totally crapping out.

I am playing this game and others on a bootcamped 2019 MacbookPro with little to no problem. I start to drop frames with about 3000 guests in my zoos, although piece counts will also affect that. My graphics are all set on high or ultra. It has rarely crashed, perhaps twice in 350+ hours of gameplay. The laptop gets warm, but has handled 6+ hours gameplay at a time easy.

Yes, you do need at least a i7 CPU or better and the best quality GPU you can get (mine is and i9, 32Gb, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M). I was due for an upgrade from my 2009 MacbookPro anyway, so I did purchase and customize my new one with the ability to bootcamp and game on it in mind, but yes, you can do it. Don't listen to people who say it doesn't work.

Macs are built for graphics heavy powerful programs IF you build them to do that. A base model, out of the box probably won't do it for you. But I come from a graphic design family and have used Macs since the 90's. The majority of big Hollywood FX studios render all those big blockbuster films on Macs, not PC, and that takes a machine powerful enough for any game. So all that above is just PC people on a high horse. Sorry to pop your balloon.
