My biggest worry are your last points though, that the animals have no awareness of other animals nearby and cannot interact with them unless it's a scripted animation/event thing. JWE had terrible animal behavior.
1.) Yes sadly it seems like hippos only swim on the surface atm. However, it could be the case that that will be changed in the future.
2.) You can make mixed enclosures. Perhaps we have not seen lions and cheetahs in the same enclosure because they would kill each other on sight.
3.-5.) We don't have enough evidence yet to make those assumptions. Guests do seem to look at animals. We have only seen less than a half hour of footage and it jumps around so fast its hard to determine anything solid.
I just hope it's not that easy.
Another point is that it has been said that animals can interact with anything in the enclosure but from what I have seen does not seem to be 100% true. 1 example (although very nit picky I know) is that we see Chimps climbing vertically up a climbing enrichment pole, so should they not be able to do the same with the poles holding up that jeep type ride? Maybe they can but just not seen it?
A genuine concern though is needing to be connected to the net at all times. Hope this is not the case as others have stated this to be a down side too. Although it must help with pirating.
I would expect he same in the game that the animals would not interact with the jeeps as they don't in the wild let alone in a zoo with constant human interaction.
The others are correct saying a Lion would take down a Cheetah given the chance, we have seen other animals together in an enclosure that have a symbiotic relationship. You will quite often see Zebra and Giraffe together as they both have different vantage points when looking out for predators so can move together.
Prey tend to just get along, safety in numbers and all that...
The other points are stuff we just need to wait and see...
I would hope not.
They do emphasise the point of management in the store page so I believe they may have learnt a bit... fingers crossed!
