Auto tour
I didn't get a chance to try the jeep or train. Can they be set to go through habitats or just around them? If they can go inside is there a special barrier gate and can you go in with dangerous animals?
Thanks

You can do all of that, yes.

There is a special gate to enter a habitat and you can use the regular habitat walls and unchec the "counts as habitat border" option.
This way, you can create a safe and walled of section the Rides can drive through.

So, for example, I'm thinking a large African savannah with antelope, zebra, giraffe, elephants, etc. The jeep tour would have to be kept separate with the extra barriers you mention or could they just drive through with the animals like real driving exhibits that I have been through?

Many of the "Savannah" animals have the restriction, that humans can't enter the habitat, because they get stressed and humans get scared, so you would have to use habitat walls (like the chainlink or one-way-glass) to "wall off" the ride and uncheck, that the area counts as habitat. This way, people drive through the "habitat" without really entering it.

It's a bid fiddly to create something like this, but it's possible.

Thanks, I'll try it out when the full version comes out.

Np!

Plan on doing the same. My giant "Savannah Reservoir" with Buffolos, Zebras, Antelops, Sprinbocks and Pigs allready worked like a charm.
Build a "bridge" from cliffs, were people could walk over the habitat and look into it. When I have more time and the full version, I will try out a larger habitat with a Tour through it as well :)

You can null barrier and use more natural barriers like slopes , water or rocks to make it seem like a safari

Great input! Didn't check if you can uncheck the "counts as habitat"-thing on Null-Barriers.
If that's possible, you could truly create a "Safari"-experience :)

I used bridges over my grizzly, lion and wolf exhibits and they worked good and brought in more guests. A little difficult to set up though.

Another thing i was just thinking about and may try it this evening is what happens in the game if I mix predator with prey. I may sacrifice a zebra and put one in with the lions.

Yeah, this is what I did in my mixed Savannah habitat:

Was a pita to set up. But this was like my first serious atempt on creating something like this.

My current bear habitat is basically a pit:

I started with the pit and made the paths "elevated" instead of putting it on the edge of the landscape. This way it was way smoother to setup.

Beta was a great way to learn so much! I am really excited for the full release!

I was just playing around with the jeep tour and setup a track and station through my large habitat. When laying the track you can elevate it so the animals can cross underneath. Doesn't look like any kind of barrier will be needed. Sent the jeep on a test run and the animals acted like it wasn't there. The only problem I have is getting the station connected to the guest path.
