I am in debt 1 Trillion Dollars...

So, regularly I'd chalk it up to bad investments but i honestly have no idea how this happened this time. one minute i had 12k and the next -1,073,741,656,560.44.

I mean i know this is a bug, obviously, I didn't order every Bengal Tiger in the world. I don't really know what caused it because i literally did nothing. I was 3x speeding through some research ( for roughly 15 seconds) and then BOOM I had the single worst economic zoo disaster in human history. So, the 3x speed might have something to do with it. It says that Upkeep is the thing that's doing-me-in which I don't understand because it only shows up when i hover how much money I used to have. All the statistics say i'm fine, but i'm not fine, i'm very much in debt.

I laughed at first but i cant seem to recover my save data as it constantly saves over my old saves every 5 minutes or whenever a big change happens like an animal is born or dies (or you loose all your money). Now i'm stuck because I cant build anything at all. I have pictures that i can show the Devs or anyone who can fix this if need be and id like to get my debt properly squared away before the Zoo Mafia collects (or all my staff leave, which ever comes first).

I've been enjoying the game so far so If anyone knows where I can go to get my game back that would be great. Thank you!

Unfortunately, if it were me, I'd start over at this point. I dunno if there's a way to get out of that kind of hole. Best I can figure, forcequit with task manager (rather than saving and quitting) and see if an autosave or the like works.

I hate this one savespot, thats absolutly a no-go in a game.... and a deinstall ground for a building game.
Problem with the terrible Street-Tool or other and, no chance to do anything(ctrl+alt+del ...)

No problem man. Currently at 165 Billion, around 5 Billion per 5-10min so once the franchise store works again just put in an animal for a trillion and I'll buy you out <3

UPDATE: Buddy of mine figured this out, it appears to be a glitch in the loan system. I took out a 20k loan about 40 minutes before the glitch occurred. When it calculated for interest it skyrocketed to ~5 billon% more then what the loan actually was and auto-paid it, taking that money out right away hence the negative number.

I guess i will have to tuck tail and run from Frontier's evil banking policy and collective group of cartoonishly well dressed hitman in chef beef hats. Hopefully i can finish my Himalayan Bear Sanctuary. Too bad ill have to start over in Asia, not really running far from the eviction notice... Hope they fix the glitch soon, Thanks all for the help!

I appreciate it but i think i'm gonna start over from scratch, now that i know a little of how the game works i think i can lay things out properly. i am curious how you got that much?

Same problem here just now, though I didn't take out any loans. I was buying an African Buffalo off the trade center when it happened. Hopefully they fix this bug as it rendered my Franchise zoo unplayable

Note that you need to be very careful when typing in salaries manually. If a Caretaker is making $500, and you type in $900 but somehow don't notice that you didn't erase the '500' first, your caretaker will be making $900,500. It's really easy to do because of how finicky that dialogue is. Like if you bump the mouse, it removes the focus on the text box and stops accepting input. The mouse cursor has to stay inside the tiny text box the whole time you're editing it.

man i had this happen today, but i havent even used the loan system, i was going about my zoo and all of a sudden i was $1,746,487,563,478 in debt :') just when i was starting to earn money

I had the opposite problem. After saving and going to the main menu a few times to see if reloading the zoo would get rid of a stuck employee I got $128,848,903.92. I never adjusted salaries or took out a loan. Just for your info friends.

Cheat Happens have a money cheat I have $99999.00 continually through the game it doesnt go up or down and you can buy whatever you want

This is the third day of this bug for me now. I force quit out to avoid it, and usually its fine, i get the bug 3-4 times in a row but manage to force quit out before it autosaves.. today... try to load.. no dice, about 30 seconds after my load game it happens, no matter what.
