Baby Ostriches Going Through Walls
I've got a pretty big issue at the moment. My financially bankrupt zoo is being devastated by baby ostriches that keep walking through walls and scaring off guests.

The ostriches walk through the walls then perform a jump animation, so I'm guessing they're supposed to be jumping over the wall. They shouldn't be able to jump over the wall though, as the wall is 3m tall around the entire exhibit. That is higher than the apex of their jump, as seen in the below video.

This is a problem for me as I do not have the money to raise the walls higher, and I shouldn't have to as they are clearly more than tall enough. The Zebra's and adult ostriches do not walk through the wall, only the baby ostriches do. I think I might just have to get rid of all them I guess. I don't see another solution.

Might need to get a trainer or something as well to get some more cash, don't really want to restart but I'm sitting at -40k with all the loans taken :/, or maybe you can edit your save files. Gonna have to look into that.

Also it seems weird that animals are allowed to walk through each other.

Post it as a bug report, unless one of the people who've mentioned it before have done it.

My African Wild Dogs were doing this too.

Is it just glass? If so, try replacing the glass with solid walls that have windows and see about that. Definitely report the bug too, though.
My ostriches were doing the exact same thing on one of my maps. It's a bug, like the others have said. You're not alone! :)

Yeah I have reported it, there are a lot of similar reports on the issue tracker site.

Anyone know where the save files for this game are located? I can't seem to find them.

my ostriches are being considered 'escaped' when they're still in the exhibit =/ costing me $1000 each time to move them 'back'.

I tried to report it, but i can't log into the issue tracker with steam, so i reported it in the pinned thread about the issue tracker and hopefully they see it

You don't need to spend the $1000 - just get a vet to do it.

It's been reported plenty.

Yeah their issue tracker site is bugged (lol), I had the same problem. If you go to their main webpage you can register a direct frontier account, then use that to login to the tracker site.

and Dorian his issue is different if the animals are considered escaped while still inside the pen.

I've seen that bug reported already - can always post it again if you like.

I never thought of doing elevated paths over an exhibit, That's pretty cool. And I love that baby ostriches inspire terror:

This was actually listed in the "known bugs" section (which was posted before the beta launched): https://steamcommunity.com/app/703080/discussions/0/1628538707061886749/

I recommend reading through the known bugs, saves time and effort wrestling with things that the devs already know about :)

Curious whether any of you guys changed fences on your enclosures if they're greater than 2m?

I've had no issues until just then - when I changed a fence that was 10 metres high for mandrils.

I had 5 escapes after the fence was replaced and decided to watch what was happening. I noticed my mandril actually jumped and landed outside the enclosure. The height would be consistent with a 2m fence so I'm wondering if the fence height is not translating properly.

Be good to know if you did - or if anyone else can test this.

my baby ostriches do the same but never the adults so they've been banished to my storage until the bug is fixed.
