How to download beta?

Planet Zoo is my first game on steam, do any regular steam users know how to download the beta for games once the release time arrives? Does a link appear on the game screen? Or is there a method to doing it? (Probably a really stupid question with an obvious answer but as I said, i'm a first time steam user!) Many thanks.

It will show up, you might need to refresh the page once it drops. But it will just have a button that says Install

There will be a link to download it from the Store page. It'll also appear in your Library and you can download it from there as well.

You will just see "Planet Zoo Beta" in your library at some point, just like a normal game.

Sometimes you need to close and open steam to get it to show the install button on new releases. If it's not shown up 15 minutes or so into the release window and you can see the usual "downloading now" posts on the forum it would be worth closing and re-launching steam to see if it forces it through.

You won't see it yet because it's 3h away from beta start.
Check in 3hours if you have it.

If you don't see it in your library, make sure your library is not set to only show installed games.

Click on the library text at the top of your Steam client and select Games from the menu that pops up. You should see it in your library with its name dimmed to show it is not installed.

Have fun all! Sadly will have to wait to after work. I'm EST U.S. New York Time Zone. Will be thinking about this game all day at work! LOL! It Is almost Late morning for me time for me go to work! And will play this game all night!! I will try avoid spoilers @Work to I get back home my time this evening!
