I don't understand how anyone could consider a cycling palette that only moves forward to be an acceptable design choice. We can't justify it simply by saying that the current visual picking palette is superior to the former blazon text input. Is it easier? Of course it is. But the blazon was conceived with interesting terminology and a rich historical background. That alone is enough to inspire a different mindset in players. What are the principles behind a forward-only cycling palette? Did they think that a "handicapped" color picker would trigger something positive in the players' minds?

I don't know why they did this, its horrible. Is it in the current base game or just the DLCs? Been some time since I last played it.
