Can't throw coins anymore???

I've tried hitting every button on my keyboard and I can't drop coins anymore. I literally can't expand anymore because I can't build or anything.

Are you in co-op? Did you loose your crown by chance? That's the only time I know of that this can happen, when one of the co-op players looses their crown.

I sure am not, playing solo. I haven't been attacked so I still got the crown

I just started the game for the first time, and shadows stole my crown. Now I have a new heir but she can't give coins to anyone, they just fall to the ground. What to do?

To use coins you have to hold the button down, if you press it too quickly it just drops it.
