Why no Multiplayer?
Is there a real reason or is it just a choice to ignore the decades of players begging for multiplayer on part one? simply allowing us to connect our otherwise single player games to each other to compete for map targets or even base incursions would have been enough. The original was one of my favorite games for such a long time, but being trapped in single player on what amounts to a single player re-skin in today's market is just unacceptable...

So many classic titles have been brought back over the last several years, from Wasteland to Shadowrun, Xcom to Elderscrolls and none of them have provided us with the Multiplayer connectivity that we have asked for... Let us play it single player but ALSO allow us to connect to eachother's single player games as a core feature so we can at least play side by side.

Other titles such as Don't Starve and Stardew Valley began as single player and were either recreated as a multiplayer version or upgraded into a multiplayer version with huge success. Even as a huge fan of the original, I doubt I'll even pick this up outside of a 75%+ sale if it is just another locked into single player modern re-skin.. Much, the same as Shadowrun, Xcom, Wasteland... Not worth full price without full features...

Some great mods have made this this possible on other single player locked titles. Just nowhere near enough... This is a huge difference between the dumbed down features of MMO adaptions like elderscrolls. Just let us connect to either trade, compete for map targets, or raid eachothers bases. This can be outside of the campaign entirely.

You CAN do it!

Do you want a multiplayer?
Game is perfectly for multiplayer! Like "The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot" for Mechanics and Gameplay

I'll be honest, the original game (while I love it) wasn't well suited for multiplayer. I'd rather the sequel which I believe has been fighting to be worked on, hit it out of the park for singleplayer.

i would love a multiplayer mode were you can click a box for "Online Layer" so then players playing as Agents, can join and try to kill the evil genius

its can be nice ! go take your spy to try stole item from other player base

As long as it's an extra and not the whole emphasis of the game...

AND for it to have local multiplayer too! So the wife and I can keep all you other Evil Genius's out of hair. (no offense to the majority, but some people ruin it)

Also, if it's like BlackMindQc stated, and from the trailer where the spy is dodging the lasers.. I don't want the multiplayer riddled down with QTE. I don't see how action oriented gameplay can be too much of a thing here in this genre. Not impossible, but easy to mess it up.

I sincerely hope not. First, I don't think it would be very good. Second, adding multiplayer would require a lot of extra development time to do networking, UI, and matchmaking.

Yeah, no. I'm not even sure how it could work in a Sims-like game such as EG.

omg i miss the mighty quest for epic loot so damn much :(
this game reminds me of it a lot. if they add a seperate mode for multiplayer for sure that would be fun.

I think multiplayer would be nice in a specific way.
It would be cool to perhaps have a mode in the game in wich you play as agents and try to infiltrate an enemy lair (an actual player) and getting specific objectives if you manage them.

multiplayer as a standard rts game is a big no for this one.

Does everything have to be multiplayer? (rolls eyes)

Not gonna lie... I'd want multiplayer for this game.

Sending minions to try and steal from another Evil Genius could be fun, as well as a way for players to show off their base. Is it a feature I'd consider a must have? No.

No thanks. Not every title needs multiplayer. If the title is extremely successful maybe 2-4 co-op would be great.
