eh. find it kinda... bland. there's some cool concepts in there. the mention of bacteria coming back to life does raise the question of why stepping inside doesn't lead to, you know, all the bacteria that are dying throughout your body constantly coming back to life. it's not necessarily bad as a concept, it just needs... ironically, more meat on the bone. 5/10
i like the initial scp actually. it's a fun idea. but yeah the extended test logs are very long (i understand it's because of other people adding things, but still) and a lot of them feel very... self-indulgent feels like the best way to put it. also from my skimming through them the amount of times the foundation goes 'oh no we might've given the three moons [insert thing here]!!!!' you maybe should just. stop testing with it????? 6/10
...
I'm never any fun, am I? I should continue writing instead and have my work be chastised by an incessantly whining figure as well.
...
Here's a shorter one instead.
SCP-721-J
can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ believe they'd get threaten annual pyjama day, truly they are cruel beyond measure
anyway that image is fantastic and i love the ending. not much to say and i also now have to order some stuff with custom image prints so 6/10 and i'll leave it at that
i think the biggest issue i have personally with it is that the first section feels... disconnected. i get how the themes run across, but tonally it feels completely different. i get what they were going for, sure, i just think it doesn't work as well as it could. i also think that the initial scp, especially the namedrops of musk and bezos, feel kinda... self-indulgent. look i hate musk and bezos just like anyone who isn't one of their megafans, but it takes me out of the story a bit.
anyway i did actually like the later bits and especially the formatting i just feel it's been dragged down a lot. so i'd say a 5/10
it's an interesting concept, and the execution is alright. my main issue is that the actual anomaly feels... incredibly generic. like, i fully understand that the point of it is more the metaphorical elements. but they could've at least played around with the effects on the colonist bastards a bit more rather than just. the bog standard hallucinations and nightmares. 6/10
This takes the SCP format to a whole new direction. Revolutionary stuff, really.
SCP-3001[scp-wiki.wikidot.com]. Surprised when I checked that this particular skip only got a mention and not a full review. Also I just realized this is the 900th message. Nice!
