I think a voice recognition system would be neat alongside 662.
>Pick up 662
>The voice of the butler says, "What may I do for you, sir?"
>Ring it
>Say "SCP-268" or "I want SCP-268" or any variation that includes 268 or the object you wish to have
>"Sorry sir," the butler replies, "that would be too difficult, I'm afraid."
>"I would appreciate a medkit, butler."
>"At your service, sir."
>A few seconds later, after turning a previously empty or lifeless corner, a plate with the item of choice is found on the floor.
>"Always a pleasure to serve you, sir."
>Look at the bell in the inventory, a seconds cooldown in the hundreds, so better make your request count.
If you ask for something not in the game such as "I would like a massage," he could say something like "At the moment, I cannot do that for you" or "I'm afraid I do not know what you request" (which would sound rather weird considering he should know what a massage is.)
Edit: to add to it, in the event that the person who rings the bell does not have a microphone, the butler will fill in the blanks by saying, "I'll get you something special" or "I assume you may want this..."
Perhaps to make it less of a item spawning SCP, it actually takes existing items from the world that aren't being carried by someone. Although that could be rather annoying for someone in need of that particular item.
Either way, 662 might be neat, just depends who will do the voice acting, and they better be truly British or by Jove I'll cancel them on Twitter.
I would imagine SCP items would not be in the pool of items Mr. Deeds can serve.
That’s a cool idea but I don’t know how that would work. I can’t even begin to imagine how it would determine what to pick up or how to prevent him from picking up stuff in rooms people haven’t even been in yet.
Cool idea
