SCP-217 - A clockwork infection lurks in the D-boys?
A few friends and I were bouncing ideas around for new SCP's and I came up with an idea for implimenting 217 (The clockwork virus) :-

At round start, a subject infected with 217 spawns in a D-class containment cell and outwardly appears identical to a normal D-class subject, barring having a powerful melee attack as an extra tab-menu button. Their hud also carries a 'Infection bar', indicating how far the illness has progressed.

As the round goes on, this infection bar slowly fills and the subject starts to make grinding noises as they move. They also begin to move slower but gain more health, passive healing and a stronger attack.

The twist? Once they reach 'full conversion', they freeze up and die. The only way they can slow this demise is by scoring kills, which pause the infection rate for a period.

Personally, I think this sorta class would;
-Add in more subterfuge options for SCP's
-Make the Dclass/Scientists a little less trusting of one another.
-Boost the pace of the game by encouraging an SCP to actively seek out living players to survive.
-Help support the existing SCP's who's HP is whittled away by security as the round goes on.

Maybe instead of freezing up and dying they can have 30 seconds in which they are very fast and powerful and then die?

+1, this would help discourage scps teaming with chaos by adding an incentive to kill.

Sounds interesting. As an added bonus, why not put the infected D-class on the "SCP Team" as well as the D-Class "team", allowing him/her to chat with both teams, but remove them from the D-Class team around, say, 50% infection or so, as they DO need to kill other humans at this point, meaning their fellow D-Class are prime targets.

maybe able to hear the scps from anywhere but cant telepathically talk to them and having to use proximity chat just to make it more intersting

SCP:SL needs this kind of SCP, it creates a mystery on who to trust. Who knows, maybe one of your D-Class brothers is out to get you? It kind of reminds of GMod Murder a little bit. Also, an SCP other than 049 that has a reason to kill other players? THANK GOD. +1 man, this idea is GREAT.
