scp sl will launch but just wont load the main menu

so when i launch scp SL it takes its time to open when it does finally open it loads all the unity logo and the Northwood logo and then it goes to a black screen and just sits there it doesn't say anything no pop ups or anything I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't work and every thing is good in my steam files. is somebody could help please.
