Game Freezing + Freezing my PC Completely

For a few weeks I have been having a LOT of trouble playing SCP:SL. I've always played it a lot but lately it's been almost unbearable. Usually when I open the game, it freezes completely. When spawning MTF and Chaos, same thing. And sometimes even in random moments, the game freezes and freezes my computer as well, and it only comes back after I get a timeout. And last time the game froze, I had to restart my PC :/
My specs are good enough to run the game on ultra, and lowering the graphics doesn't help AT ALL.
GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB
CPU: Intel i5 4690k @ 3.50GHZ
RAM: 16GB DDR3

Firstly, make sure your PC does not have the patch KB5001330 installed in Windows Update. Uninstall it if it is installed. Then, you should check that your Nvidia display driver is updated. The most ideal way is to download the driver directly from Nvidia's website but Geforce Experience works too. If these don't work, you can try reinstalling the game. After uninstallation, delete SCP Secret Laboratory folder in %appdata% then restart your PC and install the game again.

Not OP but there is no uninstall option in Installed Updates for KB5001330 but there is for others?

If you don't see it in the uninstallation panel, it means the patch has been successfully disabled by Microsoft already. So you do not need to worry about it.
