Well guys y'know what this means. If you want to suggest any SCP, just make up s#it, f#ck it! There's no rules, there's no following the SCP article closely, if NW didn't care, why should you?
what happened

The trailer narrator guy said that 127 is “different”.

No no no, there’s no need for murder. Let’s just embrace it, y’know? This new design philosophy for SCPs. I’m already adopting it for my next suggestion.
SCP... SCP has changed.

It's no longer about containment procedures, adventure, or authenticity.

Game developers - and their new ideas - have become a spontaneous machine.

SCP has changed.

Articles are no longer used as guidebooks for writers outside of the wiki. Video games based on the concept of SCP's universe are only related to it on a surface level. Everything else is just made-up, reconceptualized, changed.

Articles changed, tales changed, wikis changed, games changed...everything is read and kept at a distance.

SCP...has changed.

The age of inspiration has become the age of leeway, all in the name of averting the cries of amateur writers and obsessed fans, and he who changes the SCPs, changes SCP.

SCP...has changed.

When the concepts are totally redone, SCP becomes a label.
Northwood always "mutates" their SCPs so that they are more balanced. 127 is probably going to have a shorter regeneration time, and be more dangerous.

SCPs in SCP:SL are more like concepts of an idea. Northwood likes something someone once made up, and then changes it a bit and puts some lore on why they changed it.

This sort of mutation you refer to is fine. Because ofc 127 shouldn’t take days to regen its ammo, 096 shouldn’t literally be unstoppable, 173 can’t look like its peanut design due to copyright, etc. We’re trying to make a game here.

The problem I have is adding these new “anomalous properties” to SCPs that can’t be referenced or implied from the article. I ask again: There’s thousands of SCPs across 9 series + the internationals and other guys, and there’s only this one gun SCP that is so incredibly basic and bland, you have to make up stuff for it to work? There’s no other gun SCP, if you want to do this gimmick so badly?? Let’s go broader, no other SCP item you can add “naturally”, we already at the stage we have to make up stuff for SCP items if we want to add more???

Here's an idea, how about you let northwood cook and stop tweaking about the implications of the teasers. It's possible that they can make it work in a good way.

I don’t doubt that. I just really dislike this is the route they went with.

Well, if they wanted to just grab an SCP that did exactly what they wanted, they'd have to grab an SCP with a really high number.

Also people know SCP-127 more, even though it's just a gun that reloads itself.
The SCPs Northwood adds are ones people already know and love. SCP-127 is somehow interesting enough.

Ah yes, beloved and famous SCP articles, such as 2176, 244, 1576, etc.

You can think 127 is interesting. But imo it’s boring and bland.

I don't think it's all too interesting either. From the exterior, it shows no signs of living. It's just a gun. The only difference is it shoots teeth and regrows it's magazine.

It does carry ~60 teeth per magazine, which is almost double that of the MTF private's gun.

It's whole gimmick might just be it's an infinite ammo gun, you just have to wait for a new magazine to grow in.
Ok, so the new "anomalous properties"

They're not too outlandish, but I still think they went too far and made up too much. Don't like it.
